		About Us Philosophy and Mission Girls Incorporated of Washington County is a local affiliate of a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Girls Inc. fulfills its mission of empowering girls to be self sufficient, responsible and confident women by delivering research-based, age appropriate, after-school and summer programs.

		The primary focuses of Girls Inc. programming are literacy , math and science, career and life planning, health and sexuality , leadership, sports and adventure, and self-reliance and life skills. Girls Inc. programs are designed to serve all girls regardless of girls socio-economic, ethnic or religious backgrounds. Our organization too many girls is a home away from home. When members walk through our doors they step away from preconceived notions and into a realm of new possibilities. At Girls Inc. we are fully committed to ensure that every girl has the opportunity to rise to her highest potential and unlock her power to be strong, smart, and bold. 		Girls Inc Celebrating 60 years! Currently, we serve between 85-100 girls a day ranging from 6-18 years old. We transport girls from 9 middle and elementary schools to our center. The gymnasium is home to our sports teams as well as local volleyball and basketball organizations. In 2008 we will be celebrating our 60th year of inspiring all girls to be strong and bold!
